I am a retired art educator .finding my medium of clay soon after beginning teaching children. Their love of clay inspired me to incorporate it as my own. Working in clay since 1988 I have been in numerous exhibitions, juried shows and galleries around the southern region.The world of flora and fauna has fascinated me since childhood. The natural world is a never ending source of inspiration.The three dimensional aspects of clay, the freedom of hand building captures the whimsical quality of my work. I think of myself as a primitive realist, creating original designs with the fanciful appeal of the natural world and realistic details with which each piece takes on a personality of its own.
